Star Wars Rumour: The Return of Darth Vader?

Latest rumour suggests we may see that iconic suit once more.

In our most sensational rumour to date, it looks as though Darth Vader might make a miraculous return… but have we really underestimated the power of the Dark Side?
After the recent rumours that 'Star Wars: Episode VII' will focus on Jaina and Jacen Solo, it's looking increasingly likely that we'll see the next generation of Jedi… whatever form they take. But while we've been busy speculating about the heroes of 'Episode VII' what about the villains? We've already heard rumours that a 'disciple of Palpatine' could make an appearance… but could that really be Lord Vader? Could he really make a comeback after we saw him become one with the Force?

One user over at reddit certainly thinks so… and claims to have some behind-the-scenes info to back this up.
"I was working one day here in NYC on a popular HBO show," he explains. "And the main set designer (older low key gentleman) struck up a conversation with me… He said one of his best friends was currently working on the [Star Wars 7] script."
Explaining what the man told him, he apparently revealed that "the story revolves around Han and Leia's kids" and more interestingly that "Darth Vader is back".
I know what you're thinking - Vader died at the end of 'Return of the Jedi'. But this anonymous set designer seems to have an interesting twist to add. "All I'm going to say is: Darth Vader is back. Who's actually IN THE SUIT is the big deal."
Don't get me wrong, at first glance this rumour looks absolutely crazy. And it probably is. But what if there's more to it than meets the eye?

If Vader's suit does make a return, it doesn't necessarily have to be Anakin Skywalker who's wearing it… and I think that's the point. Perhaps the real villain of the piece will use the iconic imagery of Lord Vader in order to throw Luke off the scent? Or even to lay a trap?
Of course, this is an incredibly sensational rumour from a completely anonymous source… so take it with a huge pinch of salt. But while it's not exactly from the most trustworthy rumour it certainly brings up a good point… would Disney really pass up one of the most iconic figures from the 'Star Wars' franchise?
From a business perspective, it certainly makes a lot of sense to reincarnate one of their best-known characters. But is it a step too far? As much as I loved Vader in the original trilogy, I can't help feeling they need to move on… and I'm sure that's exactly what they intend to do.
